Rainy Saturday. Sunny Saturday!

Today was great. For the first time since my shoulder surgery in March i was able to stand up on a surfboard. It made me realize two things. One, how much i miss surfing and two how far i still have to go just to get back to where i was before surgery. Cant beat another day at the beach today we did the beach sprint for time. After that we did the flag toss for distance. All things you need to do while killing boredom on a partly rainy day.

first week of summer

I decided that i would keep a journal of all the activities of a summer of lifeguarding and see what came of it. Then i decided i would bring along my point and shoot cameras and turn this into a photo blog. I am going to use my pictures to try to show what life was really like all summer long. Why? Because i have a horrible memory! Secondly it seems as if the summers come and go so fast that i hardly remember them. Well the first week is over so i will post a few pics since i am a few days behind. Hope they are a good summation of my summer.
Most of these pictures will be taken with either my Nikon Coolpix S5 or my Panasonic Lumix fz7. I dare not carry my D80 every day to the beach for fear of killing it! Enjoy i am having fun doing it. I will of course have to Photoshop them but they may be slightly less quality due to the fact they are simple point and shoot. Hope you enjoy Summer in Jersey!
